Clark Steel Framing Honored with Marek Brothers "Supplier of the Year" Award

August 2004 - The Marek Family of Companies honored Clark Steel Framing as their "Supplier of the Year" for 2004 at Marek's Annual Company Gala in Houston, TX earlier this year.  This is the second time in five years that Clark has received this award.

Oak Forest Lumber, incorporated in 1961, is the exclusive supplier to the Marek Family of Companies in Houston, TX where Marek is headquartered. The Marek Family of Companies, which was founded before WWII, is primarily a drywall subcontractor participating in both Commercial and Residential construction. Commercially, Marek has offices in 5 cities in Texas (Houston, Austin, Dallas, Harlingen, and San Antonio) as well as in Atlanta, GA and Raleigh, NC.  They are the largest drywall (end user) contractor in the Southwest, and one of the largest in the nation.

Clark and Marek have worked together in the Houston area on such jobs as Enron Field (now called Minute Maid Park), Enron Building (now called Chevron/Texaco Tower), Lakewood Church, several area hospitals, high-rise condos, and the Harris County Juvenile Justice Center.  In Dallas, Clark and Marek were instrumental in the building of the DFW International Airport, and American Airlines Center.

The "Supplier of the Year" Award is given annually by the Marek Family of Companies from a pool of vendors used by both Oak Forest Lumber, as well as other Marek entities in other locations.
